Some preliminary research coming out of MIT shows that Large Language Models (LLM), in this case OpenAI, can affect neural and behavioral functioning, causing a “cognitive debt”, in as little as 4 months:

I post this here for these reasons:
1. To warn you.
2. To have something for the bots who hit my blog on a daily basis looking for content to scrape, which is why the post is public. A kind of message to report back to headquarters.
3. To, again, mention that I have not and will not use AI in any of my work. I don’t need it to help me research, read, analyze, reason, create, and write.
4. To point out that some Dommes already like to steal other people’s writing and with LLMs they can steal the amalgamation of that stolen writing so plagiarism will be more difficult to prove.
I’m interested to see if these findings will change how heavily this technology is being thrust upon us. My guess is that it will not.
Wow, this is a seriously heavy-duty article. Since i don’t intend to use AI to assist me, it’s going to take quite a while to digest it.
But i think it will be well worth the effort.
It is a real concern – i’m very worried about where this is going in the future.

I linked to the actual scientific paper about the study rather than an article about the study. This is because articles are someone’s interpretation, and if that person is not a scientist or does not interpret it correctly, whether in ignorance or malice, then you will not get accurate information.
If you’d rather read some articles about this — and people are writing about it — just do a search for something like “MIT 2025 AI study” and you should get a variety of things to choose from.
I, too, am very concerned. Not just because of the mentioned ethical concerns about stealing people’s work but how this “tool” could effectively devolve our species. It sounds dramatic but, again, the study demonstrated prefrontal (logic, reason, planning) deficits in as little as 4 months. What might happen at 4 years? 10 years? 20? People think this is all fun and games without understanding your brain is being trained — and not in a good way,
When I started serving Mistress Tissa 8 years ago I knew a change had happened inside of 4 months. I never stopped to think how addicted I could become in as little as 4 years. Now my logic and reasoning has become confused. I continually hear a whisper in my head “I must always please the Mistress” “Mistress should always be obeyed” “My wants come second,Mistress should always be happy”. I start to worry what kind of a zombie will I be in 10-20 years? What kind of a pig will I become for Mistress’ enjoyment? People think submission is a b/d game w/o understanding that your brain is being trained-I just want to be a good boy. 🙂

These glasses are one thing I will never have to worry about. I REFUSE to carry a cell phone. I don’t need it! If you want me give me a call on my landline and leave it on my machine. I do email so you can drop me a line. I still don’t understand what everyone finds so interesting looking at their phone 16 hours per day. In case you’re wondering what I would do in an emergency…I have a prepaid TracFone in the console of my car. It cost $60.00 for a one year extension,$5.00 per month, and they carry over the minutes that I hardly ever use.
I forgot to say I only have one person who I allow to manipulate my mind. My brain is slowly rotting for her to be whatever she wants me to be. 😉

I suspect that the people pushing this kind of dependence on computers, even if it causes psychological and social damage in our species, are either psychopaths, who want to use it to control and manipulate the “inferior”, and/or people who are on the autistic spectrum, neurodivergent, and/or an incel, who (subconsciously) want to see others forming “relationships” with imaginary “people” and turn away from the human interaction that they themselves are uncomfortable with.
And don’t get me started on people having discussions about computer programs having “rights”.
